About the Event

We are excited to welcome Dr. Seth Troutt for a special two-part lecture series on biblical anthropology and gender.

Dr. Troutt serves as Teaching Pastor at Ironwood Church in the Phoenix metro area. He completed his doctoral dissertation on the influence of queer theory, digital technology, and anthropology on Gen Z, and he is currently writing a forthcoming book on masculinity with Moody Publishers, aimed at young men and the parents who raise them. His writing has also appeared in The Gospel Coalition, Christianity Today, World, and will soon be featured at Desiring God.

In these lectures, Dr. Troutt will address some of the most pressing issues facing the church today:

  • Lecture 1: Transgender Issues and Biblical Anthropology

A careful, pastoral exploration of what Scripture teaches about gender and humanity, and how pastors can respond with both clarity and compassion.

  • Lecture 2: Masculinity and a Vision for Young Men

A biblical framework for understanding manhood, with practical insights for guiding young men to live out their calling with strength and humility.

Both sessions will place a special emphasis on equipping pastors and leaders to teach with confidence and conviction on questions of gender and identity, helping their congregations stand firm in truth while engaging their communities with grace.
